The Honda Concept D has been unveiled at the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show, and is a study that previews a new, premium SUV for China. The Concept D’s style is a purveyor for the design direction of an upcoming, production SUV that is currently being developed exclusively for the Chinese domestic market. The top drawer SUV will hold the flag for Honda as its flagship product in China, and will be built by Guangqi Honda and Dongfeng Honda joint ventures.

The Honda Concept D is all bronze and brawn, with it’s chiseled bodywork and aggressive styling all around. In profile, massive and intricate 21-inch are enveloped by the 285/45 tires, while blacked-out B-pillars support the ‘floating roof’. The rear is almost a fastback with a large spoiler and boomerang-style wraparound taillights. Technical specifications of the show car a re scarce, and so are the interior details.
