Twenty Two Motors, a new electric mobility solutions start-up based out of Bhiwadi, Haryana has launched the Flow electric scooter, their flagship model for the Indian market. The company claims that the Flow is a smart mobility solution specifically designed for the urban masses of India and that it is the ‘most ahead of its time’.
The scooter combines a neo-retro form factor in the form of rounded edges, LED headlamps and smooth curves with new-age technology in the form of smart AI integration and a lot of electronic wizardry.
The Flow weighs in at a light 85 kg and can hit a top speed of 60 kmph courtesy of a 2100 Watt, 90 Nm electric motor developed by Bosch and a Li-Ion Battery Pack which can be charged within 5 hours to get a claimed range of more than 80kms which can be doubled by the addition of another battery. The battery can also be fast-charged up to 70% in just 1 hour. The company claims that the battery will have a life of over 50,000 kms of standard use.
It gets various practical features such as a telescopic suspension, regenerative braking with CBS, storage space for two helmets and reverse, cruise and drag modes for its motor.
The headlining act is the smart IoT based AI system of the scooter. The scooter uses a smartphone app that allows the user to constantly keep a track of the location, driving patterns and the health of the vehicle itself and can proactively warn the owner about any inconsistencies.
The company will be setting up its first experience center in Gurgaon by May this year while manufacturing will begin by the second quarter. The Flow is now available for pre-bookings and will be priced at INR 74,790 at launch.
