Citroen C5 CrossTourer revealed ahead of Geneva debut

Famous European car maker Citroen recently revealed the details of the new Citroen C5 CrossTourer, which is slated to make its public debut early March at the fast approaching  Geneva Auto Show  2014. The new Citroen C5 CrossTourer will be pitted against the Skoda Octavia Scout and Opel Insignia Country Tourer.

The French car maker has announced that its latest model boasts of an “all-road design” and will come equipped with many new, exclusive bits such as matte grey roof bars, bespoke 18-inch diamond-effect alloy wheels, chrome wing mirror casings and new brushed aluminum protective fairing on the front and rear bumpers.

On being comparted to the regular variant of the Citroen C5, the new CrossTourer gets a 15mm increase in the ground clearance (up to 44 mph for the Hydractive III+ suspension equipped models). At speeds up to 6 mph, the CrossTourer will hae 6 cm of body height and 4 cm of body height at speeds upto 25mph. The new Hydractive III+ suspension will be available with all engine variants, with the exception of HDi 115 manual and e-HDi 115 Airdream EGS6.

The new Citroen CS5 CrossTourer will be available in Millenium and Exclusive trims and will come factory fitted with featutes such as leather upholstery, electric lumbar adjustment for driver’s seat, Intelligent Traction Control system, eMyWay navigation system and a reverse camera.

The bookings for the CrossTourer have already commenced and the the Citroen C5 CrossTourer prices start at EUR 31,950.
