Mahindra’s next electric SUV has been spotted again, and this time the spy shots give a better look at what buyers can expect. The BE 07 was first shown as a concept several years ago, but the production version is now taking shape on Indian roads. The latest test cars reveal a larger SUV body, frameless doors and a cabin with three screens.
The BE 07 will sit above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric SUV range. Unlike the sharp and sporty BE 6, this SUV has a more upright shape. That should make it better suited to families who want more cabin space without moving away from an electric SUV.
Triple Screens For The Cabin
The biggest update from the latest spy shots is the dashboard. The BE 07 appears to get three separate screens.
- Digital instrument cluster for the driver
- Large central touchscreen for infotainment
- Separate display for the front passenger
The layout is similar to the one already seen in Mahindra’s XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The production SUV is also expected to have a clean dashboard, floating centre console and a modern cabin design.

Other expected features include:
- Panoramic glass roof
- Ventilated electric front seats
- Dual zone climate control
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Wireless charging
- Premium Harman Kardon audio
- 360 degree camera
- Head up display
- Level 2 ADAS
- Powered tailgate
Frameless Doors Are A Big Highlight
The exterior has a boxier shape than the BE 6. The test cars also show flush fitting door handles and large windows.
One of the most interesting details is the frameless door setup. This feature is still rare among mainstream cars in India and gives the BE 07 a more premium feel.
The SUV is also expected to get large aero focused alloy wheels, chunky wheel arches, a roof spoiler and a rear wiper. C shaped lighting elements are likely to connect it with the wider BE family.

Expected Size And Battery
The BE 07 concept measured 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height. It had a 2,775mm wheelbase.
If the production model stays close to these numbers, it will be noticeably larger than the BE 6 and should offer useful space for five passengers.
The SUV is expected to use Mahindra’s INGLO platform. Battery choices could include 59kWh and 79kWh units.
| Expected specification | Mahindra BE 07 |
|---|---|
| Platform | INGLO |
| Seating | 5 |
| Smaller battery | 59kWh |
| Larger battery | 79kWh |
| Expected range | Over 600km claimed |
| Drive options | RWD and AWD expected |
| Wheel size | Around 19-inch |
| Dashboard | Triple screen |
The larger battery could offer more than 600km of claimed range, although the final figures will be confirmed by Mahindra.
Practical Electric SUV
The BE 07 has a more upright body than the BE 6, which should help with rear headroom and boot space. Its design still carries the sharp look seen on Mahindra’s newer electric models, but it does not appear as dramatic.
Mahindra has also been testing the SUV with different camouflage patterns, suggesting that development work is still taking place across different conditions.
Launch And Expected Price
The BE 07 is expected to make its production debut around 2026 or 2027, with Mahindra yet to confirm the exact date. There has been speculation about an Independence Day reveal, but this has not been officially confirmed.
Prices could start around Rs 29 lakh ex showroom. Higher versions with the bigger battery and all wheel drive are likely to cost more.
The main competition could include the Tata Harrier EV, Tata Sierra EV, BYD Atto 3 and VinFast VF7.
For now, the BE 07 looks like a sensible addition to Mahindra’s electric SUV range. The larger body, three screens and frameless doors give it a different character from the BE 6.
