Upcoming Cars in August 2026: Mahindra SUVs, Slavia Facelift and more!

Last month, we saw some of the most-awaited launches of 2026 arrive in India. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift, Honda ZR-V and ninth-generation Toyota Hilux were among the big names that made headlines in July. Now, August has another interesting list of cars lined up.

Mahindra is expected to have a busy month with updates to the Scorpio N and BE6, along with the near-production version of the Vision S. Skoda will also update the Slavia, while JSW MG is preparing new electric and plug-in hybrid SUVs.

Here is a look at the important cars expected in August 2026.

Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift

The Scorpio N is expected to receive its first major update on August 15. The changes are not expected to be very large on the outside, but the cabin could see several useful additions.

Expected updates include:

  • New two-tone alloy wheels
  • 10.25-inch touchscreen
  • 10.25-inch digital driver display
  • Revised dashboard layout
  • Updated centre console
  • More convenience features
  • Panoramic sunroof

The existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are expected to continue with manual and automatic gearbox options.

The current Scorpio N is priced from Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 24.95 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Mahindra BE6 Update

Mahindra could also show an updated BE6 on August 15. The electric SUV may get a cabin similar to some of Mahindra’s newer models.

The main changes are expected to include:

  • Triple-screen dashboard
  • New black and tan upholstery
  • Revised dashboard design
  • Removal of the floating centre spine
  • More equipment

The battery options are expected to remain 59kWh and 79kWh. There are no major mechanical changes expected.

The BE6 currently costs between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh, ex-showroom.

Mahindra Vision S

Another big reveal from Mahindra could be the near-production Vision S. The SUV has already been seen during testing and the production version is expected to sit above the XUV 3XO.

The new SUV is likely to retain the tall and boxy shape seen on the concept, along with a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

Mahindra could use the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from the XUV 3XO. Hybrid and electric versions could also be considered later.

The production launch is expected in 2027.

Skoda Slavia Facelift

The Slavia facelift is scheduled for August 18. The sedan will get a fresh look and several cabin updates.

Expected changes include:

  • New front grille
  • Revised LED lights
  • Updated bumpers
  • New alloy wheel design
  • New exterior colours
  • Larger digital driver display
  • New cabin upholstery
  • More convenience features

The 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines are expected to continue. The smaller engine could get a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.

The current Slavia is priced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

New MG EV and PHEV SUV

JSW MG is also preparing a new SUV based on the Wuling Eksion sold in China. Both electric and plug-in hybrid versions are expected.

The EV is expected to use a 69kWh battery and a front-mounted motor producing 201hp and 310Nm. MG is targeting a claimed range of around 600km.

The PHEV could use a 1.5-litre petrol engine, electric motor and 20.5kWh LFP battery. Its claimed electric range is around 125km, while the combined range could cross 1,000km.

Kia Sorento Hybrid

Kia could also bring the Sorento Hybrid to India. The company has not confirmed a launch date yet, but the SUV would sit below the Carnival and could compete with premium three-row SUVs.

  • Hybrid powertrain
  • Premium cabin
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Dual digital displays
  • Connected car features

August could be an important month for the Indian car market. Mahindra has several products lined up, Skoda is updating the Slavia and MG is preparing another SUV with both EV and PHEV technology.

For buyers, there should be plenty to watch, especially in the SUV and electric car segments. The Scorpio N facelift, Vision S and Slavia facelift are likely to attract the most attention when they are officially shown.
