The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been one of the company’s strongest sellers, so it is no surprise that the brand is preparing a major update for it. Fresh spy images have now revealed many new details, giving a better idea of what buyers can expect from the facelift. The new model is expected to bring changes to the design, more safety features, and a few feature upgrades, while keeping the popular Boosterjet engine.
Fresh front design spotted
The latest test car shows that Maruti Suzuki has made a few noticeable styling updates. Some of the visible changes include:
- New gloss black front grille
- Chunkier U shaped grille pattern
- Red inserts on the Boosterjet version
- Gunmetal grey trim replacing the current silver strip
- Redesigned front bumper
- New silver skid plate
The lower air intake looks very similar to the current Fronx, but the rest of the front section gets a cleaner and sportier appearance.
ADAS could be added
One detail that immediately stands out is the radar sensor placed below the Suzuki badge. This strongly suggests that the Fronx facelift could receive Level 2 ADAS.
Expected safety features include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Lane keep assist
- Lane departure warning
- Blind spot monitoring
- Rear cross traffic alert
If launched with these features, the Fronx will become one of the few Maruti Suzuki models to offer ADAS.
Rear design and engine stay familiar
The rear does not appear to receive many visual changes. Spy images show the same connected LED tail lamps, but the bumper has been redesigned.
The test vehicle also carries Boosterjet and Smart Hybrid badges, confirming that the 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine will continue.

Strong hybrid still missing
Many buyers were expecting the Fronx facelift to introduce Maruti Suzuki’s new series hybrid technology. However, the latest test vehicle does not show any signs of this powertrain.
Reports suggest the series hybrid version may arrive later. It is expected to deliver around 35 kmpl by using the petrol engine only to charge the battery, while the electric motor drives the wheels.
Expected launch and price
The Fronx facelift is likely to reach Indian showrooms during the early months of 2027. Top variants may become around Rs 1 lakh more expensive because of the additional equipment, while lower variants could stay close to the current pricing.
