Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is set to introduce the latest version of its popular SUV, the Hyundai ALCAZAR, on September 9, 2024. This new iteration promises to deliver a blend of powerful performance and advanced safety features, aimed at enhancing the overall driving experience.
Performance
The new Hyundai ALCAZAR comes with a choice of two engines. The 1.5-liter Turbo GDi Petrol engine generates a maximum power of 160 PS and a peak torque of 253 Nm, available with both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT transmission. Additionally, the 1.5-liter U2 CRDi Diesel engine offers 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV also features multiple drive modes—Normal, Eco, and Sport—as well as traction modes like Snow, Mud, and Sand, providing versatility across different driving conditions.
Safety
The new Hyundai ALCAZAR emphasizes safety, incorporating 40 standard safety features and over 70 in total. Notably, it includes Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, which offers 19 features such as Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor, and Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist. Standard safety features include six airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, and all four disc brakes. The SUV also comes with additional safety enhancements like a Digital Key, Hill Descent Control, and Rain Sensing Wipers.
