A Year in the Making: The Targamerica’s Journey
The Battista Targamerica’s story began at the 2023 Monterey Car Week, where it was first commissioned. Exactly one year later, the vehicle is being delivered to its owner at the 2024 event, showcasing a seamless blend of precision craftsmanship and personalized luxury. The name ‘Targamerica’ is a nod to both its roofless Targa body style and the United States, where this exceptional car will be based. Designed to the exacting specifications of its owner, the Targamerica is more than just a car—it is a personalized expression of luxury and performance.
Design and Personalization
The Battista Targamerica is a visual and sensory masterpiece, featuring a striking silver and blue color scheme. The design team at Pininfarina worked closely with the client to incorporate extensive personalizations, ensuring that every detail reflects the owner’s lifestyle and preferences. Among the most unique features is a custom cigar holder and humidor built into the cabin, symbolizing the owner’s sophisticated tastes. The design not only captures the essence of the 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider, another one-off Pininfarina creation but also redefines the open-top hypercar with a re-engineered rear quarter and luggage opening to complement its roofless profile.
Engineering Excellence: The Heart of the Battista Targamerica
Underneath its bespoke exterior, the Targamerica remains true to the groundbreaking engineering of the Battista hypercar. It boasts a quad-motor setup, with one motor on each wheel, generating an astonishing 1,900hp and 2,340Nm of torque. This powertrain is supported by a 120kWh battery pack capable of charging at speeds up to 180kW. As a result, the Targamerica can accelerate from 0-100kph in under 2 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 300kph.
