Hyundai Motor India has expanded the Venue lineup with the introduction of the new S(O)+ variant, priced at Rs 9,99,900. This trim level brings the popular electric sunroof feature to a wider audience.
The new variant S (O)+ carries over equipment from the S (O) trim such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, LED projector headlamps. Keeping safety at the forefront, the S(O) + variant boasts of safety features like 6 Airbags, TPMS Highline, Automatic headlamps, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and Reverse Camera.
Powering the S(O)+ is Hyundai’s familiar 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, delivering 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque.
The Venue S(O)+ is positioned between the standard S(O) and the higher SX variants, offering a sunroof option at a more accessible price point. While the S(O)+ focuses on enhancing convenience and safety features, the Venue lineup also includes turbo-petrol and diesel engine options with manual and automatic transmissions.
The Hyundai Venue competes with a host of subcompact SUVs in the Indian market, including the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
