2024 Maruti Swift Concept Unveiled: New Design and Features

The fourth-generation Maruti Swift has made its global debut in Japan, setting the stage for its anticipated launch in India next year. Renowned for its popularity among both budget-conscious buyers and enthusiasts, the Swift has undergone periodic upgrades to keep it at the forefront of the hatchback segment. The 2024 Maruti Swift Concept introduces significant changes in both exterior and interior design.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Exterior Enhancements

In terms of design, notable changes are evident. The grille now features a larger honeycomb pattern, while the most distinctive alteration lies in the new clamshell bonnet, a departure from the Mini-inspired design philosophy of the previous generation. This bonnet design imparts an SUV-like aesthetic, with a clear horizontal shut line as a standout feature. Additionally, the rear doors now incorporate conventional door handles, eliminating the integrated C-pillar design to enhance passenger comfort.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Interior Revamp

The fourth-generation Swift boasts an overhauled interior, offering a fresh and modern look. Notable features include a Heads-Up Display (HUD), a spacious 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, and an advanced airbag system, aligning it with the offerings of the Baleno.

Specifications and Launch

While the dimensions of the fourth-gen Swift are expected to remain consistent with its predecessor, safety is a prime focus. With an existing two-star crash rating, Maruti Suzuki is likely to target higher safety ratings with the Swift Gen 4. The Indian market can anticipate the arrival of the new Swift in 2024, positioning it to compete with vehicles like the Hyundai i10 Nios. Globally, the Swift Gen 4 may feature a 1.4L K14B petrol engine with a 48V strong hybrid architecture, while the Indian market is expected to retain the 1.2L K12 engine with mild hybrid technology, available with a choice of a 5-speed gearbox or an AMT.
