Nissan India has given auto enthusiasts a glimpse of the eagerly awaited Magnite Kuro Edition, marking a bold departure in design. Bookings for this edition have already commenced, with prices set to be revealed in October. The Kuro Edition is an ode to elegance in black, embodying the essence of sophistication. In Japanese, ‘Kuro’ translates to Black, perfectly encapsulating the edition’s aesthetic.
Nissan Magnite Design and Variants
The Magnite Kuro Special Edition species things up both inside and out, boasting an all-black interior and exterior theme. This special edition is available in the top-tier 1.0 NA XV trims. Notably, the engine now pairs with a 5-speed manual and an all-new AMT gearbox, a much-anticipated addition. It’s expected that Nissan will extend this dynamic powertrain combination to the standard Magnite as well. Additionally, the more potent 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine-equipped Magnite variants will also receive the distinctive Kuro Edition treatment.

Noteworthy Features and Possible Additions
While the Magnite Kuro Edition is set to feature new color options and powertrain options, insider sources also suggest the inclusion of a few additional features inside the cabin. However, it’s worth noting that the standard Magnite already offers a commendable list of features. These include an 8-inch touchscreen equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by a 360-degree camera – a hallmark of convenience and technology integration.
Market Competition and Positioning
Positioned in the heart of the compact SUV segment, the Magnite stands tall against formidable contenders like the Renault Kiger. It competes head-to-head with upper variants of sub-compact SUVs such as the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, and the Citroen C3. Additionally, its higher variants lock horns with compact SUVs like the recently updated Nexon, Brezza, Venue, Creta, and the Kia Sonet, further intensifying the competition.
The Magnite Kuro Edition is poised to redefine style and luxury in the compact SUV landscape, adding more options and features. Stay tuned for the official pricing announcement in October. However, the pre-bookings are open for the upcoming Magnite.
