Hero MotoCorp registers Nightster 440 trademark

About the Harley Nightster 440

Hero MotoCorp has recently registered a trademark called the Nightster. However, the Nightster isn’t a new name for Harley Davidson. The American bikemaker already has the Nightster 975 bike in its lineup with a bigger liquid-cooled engine. With the Nightster name, the Hero and Harley will surely make a more sporty bike than the X440.

Styling and features of Harley Nightster 440

It is expected that Harley’s upcoming bike will resemble its design with the X440. However, the 2-wheeler maker will make some changes to the chassis and seating position of the bike. With these changes, the new bike will get more ground clearance for better cornering.

We can expect that Harley’s new bike will get new alloys, a different design theme, and layout than the X440. Meanwhile, the new bike will also have a similar feature list as the X440.

Engine and Gearbox

The new Harley Davidson X440 gets the 440cc 1-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. We can expect that this engine will make its way towards the new bike.

Meanwhile, this engine produces 27hp of power and 38nm of torque output. The Harley Davidson gets a 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

With this powertrain setup, Hero might make some changes to this bike for sporty performance. The changes in the engine tuning might result in a better riding experience.

Launch Timeline and the Competition

The new bike is currently under development and the company has recently registered the trademark. However, we can expect that the Harley Davidson will position the Nightster below the X440 with a lower pricing range.

Meanwhile, Harley’s new bike is likely to arrive by 2025. After the launch, Harley Davidson Nightster will compete with Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Bobber, and Triumph Scrambler 400X.
