Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the more powerful Dio 125 scooter in the market. As per the 2-Wheeler manufacturer, the new Dio 125 looks sporty, has advanced features, and a powerful engine. The price range of the new Dio 125 scooter starts at Rs. 83,400 Ex-showroom.
The Aesthetics of the Honda Dio 125
The design of the new Honda Dio 125 looks bold and sporty. The highlight of the front profile is the new LED edgy headlight and signature LED positioning lamp below the handlebar. However, the chrome element in the handlebar is removed in the Dio 125 which enhances the sporty profile. Meanwhile, Honda has added the new twin-outlet muffler with a chrome element for an added stance.
At the rear, a sporty grabrail and the new Honda logo accentuate the scooter’s overall design. Moreover, the Dio 125 gets a new modern taillight and new graphics enhancing the sporty attire. The Dio also features 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and 10-inch alloy wheels at the rear with wave disc brakes.
Features and practicality of Honda Dio 125
The new 2023 Dio 125 is loaded with features for the convenience of the riders. It gets an engine kill switch and H-Smart smart key with keyless entry and ignition. Meanwhile, Honda has updated the digital cluster of the new Dio. Now, the digital cluster shows numerous details like total trip distance, clock, fuel efficiency, side stand indicator, etc.
Not only the new Dio 125 is feature loaded and sporty, but it is practical too. The new Dio 125 gets a twin-lid fuel opening system, providing maximum convenience to the riders. It also gets a glove box, 18L storage space, and 171mm ground clearance enhancing the practicality of the scooter.
Updates in the powertrain
Honda has launched the new 125cc powertrain for the Dio with an updated OBD technology. This powertrain is already seen in Grazia and Activa 125 complying with BS6 phase-2 emission norms. Mechanically, this scooter is powered by a 125cc 4-stroke PGM-Fi petrol engine. This engine makes approx. 8.3hp of power and 10 nm of torque output in the new Dio 125.
The new Honda Dio 125 comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. This technology is introduced to ensure more fuel combustion with less friction. Honda claims that this technology optimizes the energy output and ensures lower NVH levels of the engine.
Also, Honda has introduced the Idling Stop System which reduces emissions and minimizes fuel wastage by shutting off the engine automatically. The engine can be restarted by twisting the throttle.
About the Suspension, brakes, and tyres
The new Honda Dio 125 gets a telescopic suspension setup which is tuned for smooth ride quality and easy handling for the users. The Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension ensures an optimized braking performance.
Moreover, the Dio 125 features Tubeless Frictionless tyres that provide superior handling, boosting rider confidence. These tyres minimize energy loss while maintaining optimum grip, enhancing overall riding performance.
Pricing, Variants, and Colour Options
Honda has introduced the new Dio 125 in various colour options and 2 variants. The scooter is available in five colour options, including Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Night Star Black, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Mat Sangria Red Metallic & Sports Red.
