One of the prominent car manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz is on the brink of debuting the new generation of their executive sedan, the E-Class. Prior to its global debut, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the dashboard of the new generation E-Class. The aesthetics of the interior looks minimalist and modern for the most part with a sleek contoured dashboard. Inspired by its electric variant, the dashboard of the new generation E-Class is largely accommodated with screens. The new E-Class is more intelligent with the achievement of a new dimension of personalization. Users can experience the Music, games, and streaming content in the new-gen E-Class.
Interior of the New E-Class
The 214 series of the E-Class boast a refreshed interior with a minimalistic layout and modern aesthetics. Enriched with new features, the new E-Class comes with a triple screen layout, one for the instrument cluster and the other two for the infotainment system. The dashboard boasts a wide arc design running from the A-pillar and past the windshield so that the collars of the dashboard emerge with the door trims. The design of the central console emerges straight with the lower section consisting of buttons, cup holders, and a 3D compartment with USB ports. And the neon ambient lighting setup runs across the dashboard as well as the door panels.
The new generation E-Class features a sleek and modern steering wheel design with a sporty tri-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also boasts touch-sensitive controls mounted on it. Behind the wheel is a fully digital instrument cluster showing various information about the vehicle, infotainment system, speed, safety alert, tachometer, and changeable style of display. It also gets premium materials and leather upholstery for the seats as well as the armrest. The layout of the AC vents is unique following the wide arc design of the dashboard.
New Infotainment System
On the central console is the new MBUX Infotainment system supporting 2 displays including the one for the passenger. The new infotainment system supports connected car technology including 5G Internet, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Apps like Tik-tok, Angry Birds” game, Cloud-based collaboration solutions “Webex by Cisco”, Video conference system “Zoom”, “Vivaldi” browser and ZYNC Entertainment, etc. The new generation E-Class also features a selfie camera for Video call apps. Immersive Sound System
The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a Burmester® 4D surround sound system. This setup consists of 17 loudspeakers and four structure-borne sound transducers delivering a new sound experience to music enthusiasts. The sound experience is further accentuated by the Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos® from Apple Music enhancing the audio experience for its users.
Customizable UI Design
The new generation E-Class features various customization options. Users can customize the screen of the infotainment system. The graphics of the screens can be individually designed and laid out with options for two display styles (Classic and Sporty) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, and Service).
In the classic style, the driver is welcomed by a neat display layout with twin-pod dials in the instrument cluster. Meanwhile, in the sporty style, the driver is welcomed by a red-dominated theme consisting of a dynamic tachometer with a digital speed display.
Artificial Intelligence
The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be brimmed with artificial intelligence technology in order to make the task more convenient. This technology will be an evolution of the voice command feature. In the future, the aim is for the E-Class to fully automate the recurring routine tasks as per the desire of users. This may come true with Artificial Intelligence. The ability of the car to learn and evolve with the customer will depict the next level of intelligence. In the first stage of expansion, Mercedes-Benz will offer AI-generated routines for the driver and the seating system (ventilation, heating, massage). Other interior systems are to be successively integrated and possibly routine.
