India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has updated its Ciaz midsize sedan with better safety features and new colours for 2023. The brand is also offering RDE-compliant BS6 Phase-II petrol engine that is also E20 fuel (20% Ethanol blended fuel) ready.

2023 Maruti Ciaz: New Colours
Maruti is offering three new dual-tone colours – Pearl Metallic Opulent-Red, Pearl Metallic Grandeur-Gray, and Dignity Brown; all with a gloss-black Roof. The dual-tone option is only available on the top-spec Alpha trims of both manual as well as automatic.
Prices of the top Alpha variant Ciaz with the dual-tone paint-scheme is Rs. 11.14 lakh for manual & Rs. 12.34 lakh for the automatic. The other seven monotone colours are – the Nexa Blue, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Midnight Black, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red and Pearl Arctic White.
These 3 dual-tone colours add up with the 7 existing colours to form a range of ten colour options for the buyers to choose from. Recently, Maruti has rolled out a black edition for all of its Nexa model where the Ciaz comes in the Pearl Midnight Black monotone colour.
2023 Maruti Ciaz: Better Safety Tech
The 2023 Ciaz now comes with electronic stability program (ESP) and hill-hold assist as standard across all of its variants. Furthermore, it also gets dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, & rear parking sensors as a part of the safety equipment.
2023 Maruti Ciaz: RDE-Compliant Engine
The Maruti Ciaz is powered by the Suzuki K15 C 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes with mild hybrid tech. The motor churns 103bhp and 138Nm of torque, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed torque converter automatic. The automaker claims a mileage of 20.65kmpl for the manual and 20.04kmpl for the automatic transmission.
