One of India’s top suppliers of integrated logistics and transportation solutions, Mahindra Logistics Ltd. (MLL), is dedicated to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in its workforce.
In an effort to achieve full equality, MLL declared today that it has teamed with female e-bike riders for its last-mile delivery. By empowering women and ensuring their inclusion in all tasks, the project seeks to significantly alter the logistics sector.
By giving women equal chances, even in non-traditional logistics professions, MLL hopes to have an impact on the logistics sector and empower women to become independent.
In the first stage of this effort, MLL engaged a total of 11 women riders for last-mile delivery across Mumbai, Bangalore, and Nagpur. Mahindra Logistics is aggressively striving toward a strong implementation of this project in order to increase process efficiency.
Additionally, the business is giving the female candidates thorough training in soft skills, last-mile deliveries, and safe e-bike operation.
The company prioritizes the security of its female drivers by using vehicles equipped with GPS monitoring, which enables MLL to address any worries about extended stops or detours from the planned route.
