Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday teased its upcoming MPV, the Innova Hycross.
Bookings for the upcoming Innova Hycross will be taken starting on November 25, the day the brand-new MPV built specifically for India makes its debut. Prices will probably be revealed during the forthcoming Auto Expo in 2023, and deliveries are anticipated to start in mid-January. The new MPV will be sold as a more expensive model than the current Innova Crysta and will sit above it in the lineup. The new MPV will also be equipped with high-end features including a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a bigger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and leather seats.

Design
The new Innova Hycross will have an aggressive design like the Corolla Cross SUV that is offered abroad, as seen in leaked photographs, which also confirm that the nose would have a more SUV-like appearance. While the new Hycross is anticipated to have an unmistakable Innova-like appearance from the side, Toyota is likely to offer some body cladding and somewhat broader fenders, akin to the Veloz (also marketed worldwide), to give the model a more SUV-like appearance.
New Architecture
The new Innova Hycross is an entirely new automobile. The ladder-frame rear-wheel-drive IMV architecture has been replaced with the front-wheel-drive TNGA modular monocoque platform, which represents a significant departure from the preceding design. This should give the new Innova Hycross additional interior space and a car-like feel.

No Diesel Option
In India, Toyota is putting more of an emphasis on complete hybrid vehicles. The brand’s first powerful hybrid product for the general public was the Hyryder, and the Innova Hycross will soon follow suit. The company is now slowly retiring diesel power plants from its portfolio, with only the Fortuner being offered a diesel engine. On the new Innova Hycross, a 2.0-liter powerful hybrid powertrain will be offered alongside a 2.0-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine. The Innova Hycross won’t have a diesel engine option.
On November 21, the Hycross will make its Indonesian premiere as the Innova Zenix. On November 25, it will be unveiled in India. In a first, Maruti Suzuki will also release a Toyota Innova Hycross variant that will go on sale in the middle of 2023.
