We’ll develop the world’s most environmentally friendly and low-carbon footprint automobile solution. Pravaig is launching its first commercial offering on 25th November 2022, in JLN Stadium, Delhi. We get a peek at what the company is all about and what we can expect from their first product.
Pravaig Dynamics – What is it?
Pravaig started its journey of making electric cars back in 2011. Initially, the founders (Dhawal & Siddhartha) wanted to make electric cars of good quality as there weren’t any good electric cars in the world at large. Setting China aside, there weren’t any other reliable electric vehicles on the market besides Tesla’s Roadster and Nissan’s Leaf. When Dhawal and Siddhartha started, they wanted to build cars that would be good for off-roading, it was just a hobby at the time. They experimented by modifying Maruti Gypsy and Jeeps, but these vehicles were too slow and uncomfortable for their liking.
“Abiogenisis”
After their failed experiment, Pravaig’s prototype and their hobby turned serious. They attempted to build a car from scratch, which resulted in the development of their prototype, Abiogenesis. Once they realized that building car was not that difficult, they decided to go all in. What was just a hobby had now turned into a full-time endeavor to create an improved mobility solution? After testing
the aerodynamics with the “Protodonata”, they wanted to test the reliability, which again led them to create another off-roading car “T-Rex”. They constructed it by following FIA T1 regulations, making it robust and reliable, and able to withstand a fall off a cliff.
Key learnings from prototypes paved the way for Extinction Mk1. After designing and building six prototypes, they were ready to apply what they had learned to create what we now know as– the Extinction Mk1.

Extinction MK1
MK1 is designed to test the limits whereas Extinction MK1 has the performance and speed of a supercar. The MK1 is equipped with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) module and its electric motors have a peak power of 150 kW (204 HP) and 300NM torque. It has a range of 504 kilometers on a single charge and a top speed of 196 kilometers per hour. The MK1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in
5.4 seconds and thus has a 96-kWh lithium-ion battery pack inbuilt at the bottom. The highest life cycle of their batteries is around 1 million KM. It can also battery can charge up to 80% in 30 minutes.
Why the luxury segment?
Why not? 99.9% of the products made in India are aimed at the masses. Anything high-end bought in India is from abroad. Why can’t an Indian company produce high-end consumer goods? And it goes without saying that if we want to propose great technologies, they must be accompanied by an excellent overall experience. But keep in mind it has nothing to do with the price. The goal is not to have the margins of the luxury industry. Pravaig offers luxury in the specs and features and at this price point, the car is insanely well-priced.
Battery Tech & Testing
Proprietary Pravaig technologies, our batteries have 9 layers of safety and are monitored/managed continuously at the cell level. Safety, performance, and weight, all are the highest globally.
The prototype has gone through 1.5 million km of rigorous testing across all conditions, in addition, our technologies and products are in test daily. Just yesterday, while Bengaluru was being pummeled by storms and severe rain, we were evaluating a car built for another OEM.
How is the Pravaig Defy different from the competition?
Pravaig is launching a flagship killer. The car industry is rigged by the cost of ads on billboards & TV, and the sponsorship of celebs and sports teams. Pravaig is competing in the top league at a quarter of the cost by cutting off the industry’s primary spending and concentrating on the product. Nothing magical here, just selling a product at a fair price.
Roadmap and Product Portfolio
Pravaig is entering the production phase after the official launch of the all-electric premium SUV. We have received no. of orders not limited to India but also from various countries. In the 1st phase, we will produce 2500 cars per year. Pravaig is aiming to manufacture 1 million cars per year by 2028.
Pravaig will provide batteries, Motors, AI, Algorithms, Mechanical Chassis systems, advanced suspensions, etc. the whole array, from components to sub-systems, and entire systems.
