Jawa recently launched the 42 Bobber which shares its powertrain with the Perak. Additionally, the bike also borrows most of its design elements from The Perak. Revised suspension settings, ABS calibration, and a 2-way adjustable seat are some of the new bits the 42 Bobber gets when compared to its sibling. It comes in three color variants- Mystic Copper (Rs 2.06 lakh), Moonstone White (Rs 2.07 lakh), and Jasper Red (Rs 2.09 lakh) all ex-showroom prices.

The 42 Bobber gets most of its design elements from the Perak and a little from the 42. The 42 Bobber features knee recesses in the fuel tank, a small luggage rack on the rear fender, a new 2-way adjustable seat, and a different headlight shroud and instrumentation. The bike also gets LED lighting all around and a negative LCD display. Its tail lamp is different from that of the Perak. The exhaust tips also have a touch of chrome, compared to the Perak’s completely blacked-out exhaust. The 42 Bobber has a tubular double-cradle frame, suspended by a telescopic fork and a seven-step adjustable mono-shock.

With the same engine as the Perak, the 42 Bobber comes with a fuel-injected and liquid-cooled 334 cc engine. It delivers a maximum power of 30.2 bhp and a maximum torque of 32.74 Nm. The bobber comes with a 6-speed gearbox with 1 down and 5 up gear shifting pattern. Braking duties are taken care of by a 280mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear which is accompanied by Dual Channel ABS.

Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO – Classic Legends said, “The new 42 Bobber is an amalgamation of success stories for us. The Jawa 42 was our quirky take on a modern retro motorcycle that clicked so well amongst youngsters that it became one of our highest selling models. With the Perak, we created an all new ‘Factory Custom’ segment in the country and its popularity and fan following is not hidden from anyone. The new 42 Bobber combines the best of both worlds blending the performance & individuality of a bobber with the youthfulness & vibrancy of the 42. With this, we aim to cater to a wider set of riders seeking a custom motorcycle that is distinctive, stylish and upbeat.”
