2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Launched At ₹15.99 Lakh

Kawasaki has launched the updated 2023 Ninja ZX-10R at ₹15.99 lakh ex-showroom. Compared to the previous iteration, the new model gets only cosmetic changes. The 2023 model is priced around ₹85,000 more than the outgoing model which was priced at ₹15.14 lakh. Compare it to the 2021 model and it’s around 1 lakh more expensive. However, the ZX-10R is still one of the cheapest bikes in the segment when compared to the Ducati Panigale V4, Honda CBR1000RR-R, and Aprilia RSV4.

What’s new?

As mentioned before, the only change made to the XZ-10R is in terms of cosmetics and the bike remains the same mechanically. It gets two new paint options in the form of the iconic Kawasaki Lime Green and a new Pearl Robotic White. Both these colors come with their own unique livery options. For example, the Lime Green shade gets Kawasaki Green with black and red graphics on the side and front panel along with the belly pan. Whereas the new White shade gets Green and Black ighlights.

It retains the same design and fairing as the outgoing model which focuses on aerodynamics and downforce. The bike is based on the aluminum twin-spar frame. In terms of suspension, it gets 43mm USD Showa balance free forks at the front with 120mm of wheel travel, and a Showa BFRC lite horizontal back-link monoshock at the rear with 115mm of wheel travel. The braking duties are taken care of by Brembo M50 Monobloc four-piston calipers radially mounted on 330mm semi-floating discs at the front and single-bore pin-slide calipers mounted on a 220mm disc at the rear. The kerb weight stands at 207kg. In terms of features, it gets a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with bluetooth, four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider), three power modes (Full, Middle, Low), S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki TRaction control) with five modes, launch control, cornering management, engine braking control, ABS, and a quickshifter. The Kawasaki ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc inline liquid-cooled engine producing 200.2bhp at 13,200rpm and 114.9Nm of torque at 11,400rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
