Hyundai Tucson Pre-Bookings Commence, Variants Revealed

Hyundai’s premium SUV Tucson is all set to launch on the 4th of August. Ahead of its launch, Hyundai has commenced pre-bookings of the Tucson for a token amount of ₹50000. Apart from this, Hyundai has also revealed that the Tucson will be available in Platinum, Signature and Signature AWD(diesel only) variants. The new Tucson comes in a long wheelbase format for the Indian market and will offer both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Hyundai Tucson comes with a petrol and diesel engine option. The 2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 156 hp and 192 nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic. A diesel engine is a 2-liter unit that produces 185 hp and 416 nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Tucson offers HTRAC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system along with Multi-Terrain Modes (Snow/Mud/Sand).

The front gets a big dark chrome parametric grille with the Hyundai logo and a camera. The LED DRLs are integrated into the grille and the LED headlights are placed lower down the bumper. The side gets 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a chrome strip that runs along the window line to the C pillar. The rear is equipped with T-shaped LED taillights with a connected thin LED strip, a shark fin antenna, and a rear spoiler that neatly hides the rear washer and wiper. The 2755mm wheelbase is the best in its class and should translate into good space at the back.

The interior has a dual-tone black and grey color scheme. The 10.25-inch touchscreen comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Hyundai Blue Link connected car technology, and a whole lot more. Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control with touch-sensitive buttons. The Tucson also features a multi-air mode for the air vents for gentle airflow. The Tucson offers new tech such as 64-color ambient lighting, electric parking brake, 8 speaker Bose sound system, hands-free tailgate operation, rain-sensing wipers, and remote engine start with key. It also comes with a passenger walk-in device wherein the rear passenger can move the front passenger seat via a button to increase the legroom.
