Upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N To Have The Highest Commanding Seating In Its Segment

Mahindra has been constantly drip-feeding us with juicy details regarding the upcoming Scorpio N. We already know about the design and interiors thanks to the reveals and leaks. However, it seems that Mahindra still has a lot of tricks that are left to be revealed. The carmaker released a new teaser that claims that the Scorpio N has the highest commanding seating position. This should make a lot of fans happy considering that a commanding seating position is of utmost priority in an SUV like the Scorpio N. We also get a sneak peek at the instrument cluster with a color MID.

What to expect

The design of the Scorpio-N is unmistakably Scorpio with a ton of modern bits thrown in. The front gets an upright and imposing face. The headlamps get dual LED projector units and dynamic turn indicators. The new Mahindra SUV logo can be seen sitting proudly in the six-slat grille. The lower half of the bumper gets a silver skid plate and the fog lamps are surrounded by C-shaped LED DRLs. The side gets a healthy dose of black cladding and strong character lines along the length of the SUV.

The interior sports a dual-tone theme of black and brown. The center console houses touchscreen infotainment which gets physical controls and knobs below. Additionally, it gets a swivel wheel which to control the screen which is similar to the XUV700. This confirms that the Scorpio N will get the Adreno X system that we saw on the XUV700. This system will come with Sony’s premium sound system. The screen is flanked by two vertical A/C vents. The lower half features dual-zone climate control and a panel with physical buttons for various. The Scorpio-N will share its powertrain with the Thar and the XUV700.

The power figures are also expected to be somewhere between the two. The petrol engine will be the turbocharged 2.0-liter Mstallion unit. The diesel engine will be a 2.2-liter Mhawk unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine will come in two states of tune. The lower tune will be reserved for the entry-level variants to achieve an aggressive starting price.
