Nissan Note e Power Spotted In India

SPIED: Nissan Note e-Power With Absolutely No Camouflage Spotted In India

The premium hatchback segment of the Indian market will soon witness the arrival of an all new product that will deliver performance without compromising on fuel economy. The Nissan Note e-Power was recently spotted by a Motoroids reader. The hatchback was seen with absolutely no camouflage. Nissan was evaluating the Note e-Power for the Indian market and we expect to see the hatchback at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.

Why should other premium hatchbacks in the Indian market need to worry? The Note e-Power uses a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine as a generator which provides power to the 108hp electric motor. The 108 hp, and 254 Nm electric motor then sends the power to the front wheels, thus eliminating the need to plug-in the hatchback to a wall socket. With the system, the Nissan Note e-Power is claimed to deliver a fuel economy of 37 kmpl.

Nissan is also reportedly considering to bring in the second-generation Leaf to India, along with the Note e-Power. We’re yet to hear an official timeline about the Indian launch of both the models but, as aforementioned, we expect to hear an announcement at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi, scheduled to commence from February 7, 2018.
