Ducati is cooking something seriously vicious with the new 1199. The new flagship superbike from the Italian bikmaker is expected to be stupendously fast, and will create new benchmarks for performance, at least for V-twins.
We have been following the buzz on the internet about this exciting new machine, but a clear picture of the machine has thus far eluded us. All we had managed thus far, is a spy picture, a picture of the front fairing and some details. Today, however, we stumbled upon a rendering of the bike. Seems like it’s pretty accurate, when compared with the spy pictures. Thanks a ton Luca Bar Design for the effort for giving us a preview of one of the most exciting bikes in the otherwise lukewarm 2011.
In its newest avatar, the Ducati flagship will whip up 20 more horses than the 1198. The bike will also feature MotoGP-derived stressed-airbox chassis arrangement, dumping the trellis frame.
