Suzuki has announced the UK prices for its new 2017 GSX250R. The motorcycle has been priced at £4,299 (INR 3.51 lakh)*. Available in black, the Japanese two-wheeler maker has also announced a version dressed in Suzuki’s MotoGP livery, which will retail for £4,399 (INR 3.59 lakh)* when units arrive in authorised Suzuki dealerships in April. In comparison, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is priced at £4,899 (INR 4 lakh)* whereas the Yamaha YZF-R3 retails for £5,099 (INR 4.16 lakh)*.

The new Suzuki GSX250R was first showcased at the 2016 China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition. The motorcycle made its European debut at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show. The quarter litre Suzuki sports is a silhouette of its bigger sibling with similarly styled full fairing, the trademark, tapering headlamp, and a meaty exhaust canister.

The motorcycle draws power from a 248cc parallel twin engine that is claimed to have undergone thorough analysis and optimisation to maximise low- to mid-range torque. The 248 cc DOHC twin cylinder liquid cooled engine that can deliver 18.4kW or 25 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 23.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.
There is still no word about the India launch but we hope to hear some news on that front in the second half of 2017, if not early.
