Tata Motors has officially opened bookings for its upcoming SUV, the Hexa. Customer wanting to book their Hexa can do so by paying a refundable deposit of INR 11,000 at any Tata dealership. It is believed that Tata Motors is currently in the process of dispatching test-drive vehicles to its dealers.

While the launch of the model is still more than two months away, prospective customers are likely to have the opportunity to test-drive the Hexa by the end of November. The SUV is expected to be launched in the month of January next year.

The upcoming Hexa can be bought with a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine available in two states of tune- the Varicor 320 engine produces 150 PS with 320 Nm of torque while the Varicor 400 engine produces 156 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a five speed manual transmission, a six speed manual transmission and a new six speed automatic transmission.

A few notable features on the new Tata Hexa will include projector headlamps, DRLs, 19 inch alloy wheels, 5 inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone climate control, 10 speaker JBL audio system and ambient lighting. Safety features on the model will include six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP and speed sensing door locks. The model also comes equipped with four drive modes.
