Ferrari to be officially launched in India on August 26

2015 Parx Super Car Show - Ferrari FF (3)

Ferrari has officially announced its return in India, and an official launch is slated for August 26. This is Ferrari’s second outing to India, after the first one, mired in controversy due to shady practices by the official importer, had to be unceremoniously terminated.

With its return, Ferrari has now chosen two private dealers in New Delhi (Select Cars Pvt. Ltd. – Mathura Road) and Mumbai (Navnit Motors – Bandra Kurla Complex) to cater to its well-heeled customers.

The Maranello based brand will sell all its elite wares in India, which include the California T, the 488 GTB Coupe, the F12berlinetta and the FF. A couple of outgoing models – the 458 Spider and Speciale – are also available for order. The newly revealed 488 Spider is also expected to join the list soon.

The following are the ex-showroom (Mumbai) prices:

  • Ferrari California T Convertible – INR 3.30 Crore
  • Ferrari 488 GTB Coupe – INR 3.84 Crore
  • Ferrari 458 Spider – INR 4.07 Crore
  • Ferrari 458 Speciale – INR 4.25 Crore
  • Ferrari F12 Berlinetta – INR 4.72 Crore

Only the LaFerrari hypercar evades this list, as all 499 units have already been accounted for. However, if this news does titillate you, and your bank balance agrees, you have to wait until next year, as all the twenty allotted cars for India are reportedly sold out.

  1. A 458 Spider has already found a home in Kolkata, and a 458 Speciale is being delivered to Bengaluru as we speak – both from the new lot allocated for India. James’s Speciale hasn’t been delivered yet, AFAIK.

  2. I doubt that 458 speciale could be on that list.. James May has ordered the last one and they are probably stopping production.. Not sure about the spider either..
