Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has unveiled the new Thar CRDe, which comes with enhanced exteriors, and all new interiors with added comfort & convenience features. The new Thar CRDe will be priced at INR 8.03 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
On the outside, the new Thar CRDe gets new front & rear bumpers, new wheel arch trim, clear lens headlamps, new tubular side footsteps and a redesigned canopy. Changes under the skin include a mechanical locking rear differential which further enhances its off-road capability.
The new Thar also features all-new interiors including a new black-beige dashboard, more premium and wider seats, a redesigned centre bezel, new sporty 3-pod instrument cluster, new steering wheel and gear knob, re-designed AC vents, new wind-shield demister and door trims. For added convenience, there’s a new lockable glove box and a new floor console with cup holders. The cabin can seat six, while two rear bench seats can be folded to create luggage area.
The new Thar CRDe retains its off-road prowess with its 440 approach angle, 270 departure angle, high ground clearance of 200 mm, a 2500 cc diesel engine (105 bhp, 247 Nm) and standard 4WD with high & low ratios.
