Following earlier reports, the updated, India-bound Honda CBR150R has been launched in Indonesia. The refreshed small capacity motorcycle gets styled almost identically to the bigger CBR250R. The updated looks draw inspiration from the iconic CBR1000RR as well. The new, full fairing sports a dual headlamp arrangement, called “Dual Heen Eyes” by Honda. A new, sleeker exhaust canister, revised fairing bits, a new centre panel, and an updated tailpiece with a taillight summarize the updates on the new CBR150R.
The bikes continues with the same engine, but gets a mild power drop- it produces 17.1 PS of power which is 0.9 PS lesser than the old motorcycle but the torque output has gone up from 12.6 Nm to 13 Nm. The engine’s mated to a six-speed gearbox while top speed is a claimed 131 km/h. Shades for the new Honda CBR150R include Honda Three Colors, Champion Red, Speedy Black and of course the New Repsol Edition.
An Indian launch is expected sometime in 2015. In Indonesia, the CBR150R is priced between IDR 28.5 million (around INR 1.46 lakhs) and IDR 29.1 million (around INR 1.49 lakhs).
