Mahindra two-wheeler is leaving no stone unturned to increase its sales in the commuter motorcycle segment even though the steps include stripping down its Centuro off various features. Mahindra Two-wheelers has launched a new variant of its commuter motorcycle, Centuro with ‘Rockstar’ tag. The company has priced this new, stripped down variant at Rs 45,221 (ex-showroom, Jaipur).
The Centuro gets new Rockstar signature graphics along with a reworked paint scheme but misses out on premium features like digital dash, remote key fob and anti-theft alarm. However, the bike gets the stylish flip type key. The Rockstar version of the Centuro is powered by the same 106.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that churns out 8.38bhp of power and 8.5Nm of torque. The Micro Chip ignited 5 curve engine delivers an optimum performance. Although it’s a stripped down from many features, Mahindra has retained electric start system along with the kick starter. The motorcycle also retains the alloy wheels and the 12.7 litre fuel tank.
With the Centuro Rockstar is aimed to be placed at the entry level commuter segment. Mahindra has introduced the Centuro Rockstar in limited cities including Jaipur, Rajasthan.
