Audi India has launched the most powerful and fastest production Audi ever built to India – the next generation Audi R8 V10 Plus at an event in Bengaluru. On the occasion, accompanying the R8 V10 Plus was the whole arsenal of the German car maker from its Indian product portfolio. The Audi army had gathered for the Audi India Range drive. The spirit of the event was taken to another level of enthusiasm with the presence of ace Indian Batsman, Virat Kohli, who flaunted his driving skills by throttling the Audi R8 V10 Plus.
The brand celebrated its presence in India with more than 55,000 customers and over 35 lakh social media fans. At the Bengaluru event, Audi announced the market introduction of the R8 V10 Plus that houses a naturally -aspirated 5.2 FSI quattro V10 heart in its ribcage. Speaking of the power figures, the engine can fire out a power of 610 horses and can help the car to reach 100kmph from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds. The R8 V10 Plus can do top speeds of 330 kmph. Much lighter than its predecessor, the next-gen Audi R8 V10 Plus is priced at INR 2.55 crores ex-showroom Maharashtra and INR 2.60 crores ex-showroom Karnataka.
Audi India displayed the Audi A8 L, A6, A4, A3 Sedan, and the A3 Cabriolet of the A clan. The Q-team comprised of the Audi Q3 quattro, Q5 and the Q7. Along with these, the carmaker showcased the Audi RS 7, RS 6 Avant, Audi S5, and the TT Coupé. The program presented an opportunity to experience the capabilities of these vehicles on different kinds of tracks.
Speaking on the occasion, Joe King, Head, Audi India expressed that Audi’s focus is on the road ahead for the next ten years and will be introducing products in new segments, with new body styles, new design language, and new technologies. They will also focus on strengthening their dealer network by introducing new customer touchpoints and innovative concepts like the Audi Mobile Terminal which is already a success in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Audi will continue to provide the best to our customers in India and will launch at least ten new products in 2016.
