We have been keeping a close eye on the 2015 Hyundai i20. The next gen model of the premium hatchback from the Korean car maker will grow in size when compared to the outgoing model. Now, an avid reader of Motoroids Mr. Rishi Tripathi has caught the 2015 Hyundai i20 on test in Delhi. It is to be noted that Hyundai is testing the car in India for more than a year now.

The Hyundai i20 underwent a facelift in India in the year 2012. The facelifted i20 received LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s). On the equipment front, the facelifted model got a push button start, a reverse camera, automatic day and night rear view mirrors, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers among other additions.
The new gen 2015 Hyundai i20 seen here in these pics will have a longer wheelbase, marginally more width and even more spacious interiors than the outgoing model. The test mule seen here features sweptback headlights, a bigger lower front grille and vertical taillights. Similar to the current gen model, the car will also come with a tailgate-mounted spoiler and turn signals built into the outer rear view mirrors.
In the international markets, Hyundai will be selling the 2015 i20 with a 1.1 liter 3 pot diesel engine and the 1.2 liter 4 pot gasoline engine, along with the 1.0 and 1.4 liter diesel motors. For the Indian market, Hyundai will continue to use the 1.4 liter 4 pot diesel and the 1.2 liter 4 pot petrol motor. These engines will be mated to 5 and 6 speed manual transmissions. The car will also be offered with an automatic transmission with the petrol engine.
