It’s not a secret that Mercedes-Benz is working on a premium mid-sized pickup truck in collaboration with Nissan. They teased its concept’s arrival earlier this month, and now it has been leaked. A couple of grainy images reveal the impending German pickup truck’s visionary concept, awkwardly wearing the three pointed star on its snout. We also have a name – it’ll be called the Mercedes-Benz X-Class.

Although it is just a concept, the production version will still carry all the major cues on it. And if that happens, this Mercedes-Benz pickup will be one of the most handsome trucks out there. The looks comprise of a large snout, up-swept headlamp clusters, handsomely muscled up bodywork, and large, 22-inch, 12 spoke rims. Based on the Nissan Navara, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class with more payload capacity than any American-market equivalent.

The interiors are expected to be inspired by the V-Class, and will come with all the luxurious appointments expected from an upscale Mercedes. So there’ll be wood and leather everywhere, power everything, and all the new age driver-assistance technologies, along with modern infotainment. The X-Class is reportedly slated to be launched in Australia first, during the third quarter of 2017. It is also said that the truck will be built in Spain and Argentina in the same facilities that manufacture the Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan.
