Nissan recently unveiled its compact crossover, christened as the Kicks. The concept on which it was based made its debut at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show. Now, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has gone ahead and showcased a special edition of the compact crossover. Known as the Kicks Rio special edition, the model celebrates the 2016 Olympics that will be held in the city of Rio De Janerio.

Sporting a shade of white with a contrasting colour of orange on the roof, the special edition model carries ahead the orange coloured accents above the foglamps as well on one tiny part of the honey-comb grille. Also seen is a branding of ‘Rio 2016’ on the lower right hand side of the door while a logo sits on the tail gate of the vehicle.

Coming to the interiors, an all black leather upholstery replaces the conventional design while the piano black trims surround the HVAC cents and floor console. The top of the line variant comes equipped with a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, push button start, automatic climate control, etc.

Powering the Kicks special edition is the same 1.6 litre engine that runs on flex fuel. Power is sent to the wheels with the help of a 5 speed manual transmission on standard while a CVT gearbox is also available as an optional feature. Dimension wise, the Kicks measures 4295 mm in length, 1760 mm in width, 1590 mm in height while the wheelbase stands at 2610 mm.
