Now, it has emerged that internationally, Kawasaki has recalled 1,083 units of its 2013 Ninja 300 motorcycle for a potential issue with the ABS unit.

Kawasaki says that it has found a manufacturing error Ninja 300 motorcycles produced between August 16, 2012 and April 2, 2013. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) on some of these motorcycles could partially or completely lose its functionality. This would lead to wheel lock up and skidding, thereby increasing the chances of a crash.

Kawasaki will notify the owners of Ninja 300 bikes manufactured during the above period and the bikes would be inspected at the nearest authorized dealerships. The ABS pumps, if required, would be replaced free of cost. The recall drive would commence on August 5, 2013 and worried owners may contact their Kawasaki dealerships for more info.
