Force Traveller 26 Launched @ INR 10.87 Lakhs

Pune based Force Motors launched the world’s largest monocouque 26 seater bus today. Christened as the Force Traveller-26, the new utility vehicle is being marketed as India’s most technically advanced 26- seater bus.

The manufacturer says that the new Traveller-26 has ‘Best in Class’ fuel efficiency and is as much as 15% more efficient that its nearest rival.

Powering the new Force Traveller 26 is a 2149cc, 129Ps / 295 Nm, Common Rail Diesel engine made under license from Daimler AG, Germany. The Traveller 26 boasts of a power to weight ratio of 18 kW per ton which is the highest in its category.

The Traveller-26 is loaded with modern technologies like Dual Mass Fly Wheel and a low friction 5 speed synchromesh gearbox. The body of the new Traveller is made up of robot welded pressed steel panels. The new Traveller is the only vehicle in its segment to make use of Cathodic Electro Deposition (CED) dip technology in its painting process.

The new vehicle comes with disc brakes on all 4 wheels and Force says that it will soon launch an ABS equipped variant of the new vehicle. Two other safety features are Load conscious regulating valve and electronic indicators for wear and tear of brake pads. The new vehicle has lowest center of gravity for good road manners.

Adding to the passenger convenience are a high cabin height of about 6 foot 3 inches and lowest floor height for easy entry and exit. The van also has a wide body interior of width 2.2 m , a wide aisle and ample leg room. The vehicle gets a car like dashboard, a small luggage compartment at rear and offers an option of hat rack. Power steering is standard on all variants. The Deluxe variant also offers an AC as standard variant. The School Bus gets all the safety features required as per new regulations.

The manufacturer has paid special attention to NVH levels and the Traceller-26 has a relatively quiet cabin for a vehicle of its segment.

The van is available in three variants –Standard, School bus and DX.

Standard – Rs. 10.87 lakhs

School bus – Rs. 11.17  lakhs

DX – Rs. 13.78 lakhs

  1. Well, as a people-mover, the Traveller is quite up to the task. However, I would want you to check the quality of after sales service of Force in your town, before you take the plunge.

    Pl let me know if i can buy a 3050 Force
    Traveller with 4×4 and all 4 differential locks
    Need a power steerting.
    The idea is to convert it to a Camper so i can
    Follow the wild life photography and stay over
    For few days outdoors in the National Park.
    I was a senior citizen and well retired now.
