Yamaha FZ-X with Dual Channel ABS Coming Soon

The 2023 FZ-X is about to be released by Yamaha in India, and the most recent spy photos show that the bike will get some minor but important updates. The design appears to have undergone some minor changes. Above the elliptical headlight is a fresh, attractive windscreen.

You’ll see what appears to be a tubular steel frame around the headlight, similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The high-mount fender, a la the Xpulse 200, which, as you can see, is also body coloured, is another significant change on the front end. Speaking of colours, the test mule’s orange appears to be a new hue, and we can anticipate Yamaha introducing a new palette for the 2023 FZ-X.

New gold-colored alloy wheels that contrast with the orange bodywork are also visible in the spy photos. It will be intriguing to see how the bike appears in person given that Yamaha has previously offered similar gold-colored rims on the FZS 25.

Last but not least, the FZ-X will have dual-channel ABS, which is a very welcome addition given how slick and unpredictable our roads are.

A 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine powers the Yamaha FZ-X, producing 12.4 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The bike is set to be released in the coming weeks.

The FZ-X, a motorcycle built on the well-known FZS platform but sporting styling from the XSR line, will be released by the Japanese manufacturer in the near future. A windscreen and a projector headlamp with integrated DRL are now present in the photos, which demonstrate that the new FZ-X will receive a refreshed fascia. Additionally, a  metal frame connecting the fuel tank and the headlight can be seen, just like on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. This new component must have given the motorcycle a tough and rugged appearance.

Yamaha currently has a lot of plans on the table. According to Eishin Chihana, chairman of Yamaha, the RX brand will make a comeback in 2026 or later and have an engine larger than 100cc. Along with them, the company plans to bring some of its large bikes, including the R7, MT-09, and an electric scooter.
