The motorcycle business of Bajaj Auto Limited has taken a hit in year-on-year sales numbers for the month of April 2015. The manufacturer sold 2,85,791 units in the month of April 2015 against 2,99,636 units in the corresponding month last year registering a fall of five percent.
The damage, however, was somewhat reduced by commercial vehicles business. Bajaj Auto sold 50,483 units of commercial vehicles in the month of April 2015 against 31,893 units in corresponding month last year, a jump of 58 percent. This was the highest ever sales for commercial vehicles business in the month of April.
Exports, too, were positive. Bajaj Auto exported 1,61,598 units in the month of April 2015 against 1,50,714 units in April 2014, a growth of 7 percent.
