Two Wheeler Sales in June 2014 : Mahindra Two Wheelers Sales grow 87%

Two wheeler sales in India rarely see a decline. Mahindra Two Wheelers, which is a fairly new company to enter the two wheeler market in India, has seen their sales increase quickly. Today,  Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), part of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, announced its sales numbers for June 2014, which stood at 15,463 units.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 14,389 units during the month, as against 7,849 units in the previous year, a growth of 83%. Exports for the month stood at 1,074 units.

Commenting on the performance, Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “We are happy about the sustained growth momentum of our flagship brand, the Centuro. We thank our customers for their continued confidence and will strive to further delight them with exciting new offerings in the coming months”.

Mahindra will also be launching a new scooter and the disc brake variant of the Mahindra Centuro soon, which would further increase the sales for the company. Also in the pipeline is the Mahindra Mojo 300 which will be launched around the festive season.
