Two Drag Reduction System zones for Indian GP 2011

The FIA has let out the details of the Drag Reduction System (DRS) zones for the first Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix. The event will mark the return of a double area for use of this device.

The first detection zone of DRS zone is bound to be installed 10 meters after Turn 15, with the activation to be at 36 meters after Turn 16. This all means that the drivers will have only some of the shorter straight for all the attempts at overtaking.

The second DRS zone will be placed 16 meters prior to Turn 3 for detection and 510m after the same corner for activation, and this DRS zone will allow drivers to play with more than half of the longer straight to overtake rival cars.
