Tata Punch Camo Edition To Launch Tomorrow

Tata is known for updating its SUV range every now and then with some special edition. We recently saw the Jet Edition range of SUVs which not only got new cosmetics but also new features. The Tata Punch is the newest and the smallest SUV in the Indian carmaker’s lineup and till now, it only got the Kaziranga edition treatment. Now, Tata is set to launch the Punch Camo edition tomorrow. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from it:

We can expect the Punch Camo edition to feature similar changes that we saw on the Harrier Camo edition. The teaser reveals that it will get a Camo badge on the front fender. Just like the Harrier Camo edition, it will get Camo Green paint. Expect the alloy wheels and other chrome bits to be blacked out as well. The interiors will get a darker theme with black seats and contrasting Camo elements. We don’t expect the feature list to change and the Punch Camo edition will be offered in the top-end trim only. Other than this, we expect the Punch Camo edition to remain the same as the standard model. The Tata Punch has a tall SUV stance with bold design lines all around the micro-SUV.

It is based on the Alpha architecture and follows Tata’s Impact design language. It gets split DRLs and headlamps like the Harrier and the Safari and the humanity grille runs across the front of the car. To keep the SUV appeal going, it gets a large front bumper with a tri-arrow design for the air intake flanked by fog lamps on either side. The Tata Punch is loaded with features such as auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start with keyless entry, automatic climate control, cooled glove box, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone compatibility, a reverse parking camera, a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, iRA connected car technology, selectable drive modes, cruise control, puddle lamps, and traction pro mode.

The Punch scored an impressive 5 stars for adult occupant protection and 4 stars for child occupant protection in the Global NCAP crash test. The Tata Punch is powered by the same 1.2 L naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine that powers the Altroz. Tuned for the Punch, the engine puts out 86 PS and 113 Nm torque. The engine can be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
