Tata Nano emax CNG variant Launched @ INR 2.52 Lakhs

The Tata Nano CNG variant has been finally launched in Indian car market. Dubbed as the Nano emax, the CNG variant of the cheapest car in the world is being promoted as the most fuel efficient car in the country. The new Tata Nano emax CNG variant has a claimed fuel efficiency of 36 kms per kg of CNG. With CO2 emissions of just 75.6g/km, the Tata Nano emax CNG is also among the most environment-friendly cars out there. The new Tata Nano emax has been launched at a staring price of INR 2.52 lakhs and will be sold in Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Lucknow.

The Tata Nano CNG goes on sale in two variants- CX and LX. The LX has a price of INR 2.77 lakhs for the Nano LX (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai). As we have been expecting, the Nano emax is more than INR 50000 dealer than petrol variant.

Talking about the new car, Mr. Ankush Arora, Senior Vice President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (Commercial), Tata Motors Ltd, said,” From its inception, the Nano has been a path-breaking invention and the CNG version only adds to that and also underlines our commitment to be a sustainable automotive player.”

The Nano emax automatically switches from CNG to petrol on sensing the need for more power. Also, manual switching between the two fuels can be done”on-the-fly”. The CNG supply is automatically cut off on detection of leakage.

The Nano emax’s  CNG tank has a 4-liter capacity and is mounted under the driver seat. The car has a range of 150kms on CNG and 375km on petrol. The new Tata Nano emax comes with a 4 year/60,000 km warranty for the CNG kit.
