Tata Motors is the only carmaker to offer such a wide array of EVs in the country as of now. So now, having established a fair market for its electric products, the homegrown automaker is getting ready to take complete advantage of being the first mover in the Indian EV space.
At the 2023 AutoExpo, the brand showcased some of its upcoming EV products like the Sierra and the Harrier. Let us have a closer look at the Harrier in an EV guise.
Tata Harrier EV: Exterior Styling

Tata has set apart the Electric Harrier from its ICE-powered sibling by changing its front and other portions. The front grille of the Harrier EV is blanked out, with various styling elements differentiating it from the ICE versions. Upfront, there’s a new connected LED light bar spanning the entire width of the car while the headlamps are new.
A redesigned front bumper features new angular creases and deep-set, blackened housing for the main headlamp cluster. This connected light design continues at the rear, and the Harrier EV gets a full-width LED tail lamp.
The car gets new ‘.ev’ badges on the fenders, flush door handles, and larger concept-like wheels, along with an illuminated Tata logo. The electric SUV also gets a new aerodynamic design for the alloy wheels to minimize air resistance and improve range.

Tata Harrier EV: Powertrain Specs
Normally the Tata Harrier EV will be offered with a single-motor FWD powertrain. While in addition to that, there will likely be a variant powered by two electric motors, with one sitting on each axle and providing the Harrier with AWD.
Tata Harrier EV: Launch Details & Pricing
The all-electric Harrier EV is expected to arrive by 2024 end, after the launch of Tata’s Curvv and Sierra EV. It will take on rival all-electric SUVs from Mahindra such as the XUV.E8. Apart from that, the Harrier EV will also compete with the BYD Atto 3 in terms of pricing.
