Suzuki Motorcycles India launched the rear disc brake equipped Gixxer range in the country in the month of April. Now, the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer is getting ready to launch a special edition of the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF. Leaked images reveal a poster of the Gixxer ‘SP edition’.
The Gixxer SP edition will be available for both the naked and fully faired variants of the 155cc motorcycle. The model will come with an exclusive dual tone paintjob of grey and black. A few other updates on the model include a dual tone black and red seat and red pinstripes for both the wheels. Also seen on the models is the ‘SP’ logo near the GIxxer badging as well as special graphics on the front fairing. The models will be based on the rear disc brake variants of the Gixxer and will hence come equipped with disc brakes at both ends.
Engine specs are likely to remain unchanged and hence the Gixxer twins will be powered by the conventional 154.9 cc single cylinder air cooled engine that is tuned to produce a maximum power output of 14.8 PS at 8000rpm while the peak torque of 14 Nm comes up at 6000 rpm. This engine is mated to a five speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheel.
