We all have been eagerly awaiting the launch of the TVS-BMW G 310 R for a while now. Even though the launch date of the model has been pushed from October 2016 to February-March 2017, the G 310 R seems to be hitting the headlines time and again.
The Indo-German duo has been testing the bike on Indian roads. The latest set of spy images that have surfaced on the web reveal a production-ready model of the naked roadster motorcycle. Production for the G 310 R began in the month of July at TVS Motor Company’s plant located in Hosur, near Bengaluru. We had earlier reported that the model could be priced lower than its rival, the KTM Duke 390.
Propelling the G 310 R is a 313cc fuel injected, liquid cooled single cylinder engine. This engine is said to develop a maximum power output of 34 hp at 9500 rpm while the peak torque of 28 Nm comes up at 7500 rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheel.
The top speed of the G 310 R is said to be 170 kmph while the fuel economy is said to be in the range of 25-28 kmpl. A few highlights of the G 310 R include ABS, USD fork suspension up front, a multi-function instrument cluster. Expect the Naked roadster to be launched with a price tag of approximately Rs. 1.8 – 2 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
