According to latest reports, Nissan India will be launching the Sunny facelift in India next month. The Nissan Sunny facelift India launch will happen in less than six months after the updated car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 in February this year.
The Nissan Sunny facelift boasts of a revised front fascia that comprises of a new set of headlights and a new V-shaped grille with chrome surrounds. The front bumper gets new fog light enclosures. The outside rear view mirrors now come with turn signal indicators integrated into them. The car also gets new design alloy wheels and a mildly revised rear bumper.
The Nissan Sunny facelift will be available with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist as standard. Flagship variants will also get side and front airbags. The audio system will get Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port, and the centre console will get a piano black finish.
According to reports, Nissan dealers in the country are clearing out old stocks of the Sunny sedan before the new model is launched. There are discounts being offered on stocks of the 2013 Sunny sedan to the tune of Rs 60,000 – 90,000, depending on variant and availability. The 2014 made Sunny sedan variants are also on offer at a discount of Rs 40,000 – 60,000.
Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged and will come with the 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5 liter petrol motor churns out a max power of 99 PS and peak torque of 134 Nm, while the 1.5 liter turbo diesel motor is good for 86 PS and 200 Nm. The diesel engine will come mated to a five speed manual gearbox, while the petrol engine will be available with both a five speed manual and a CVT option.
