It is being said that the new BMW X5 M and X6 M will be launched towards the end of 2014.

While the new gen BMW X5 was revealed way back in May 2013, the new X6 is expected to give its first appearance in March at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Quite unsurprisingly, both of these models  are slated to get a M badged high performance variant each and in the latest development, it is being said that the same will arrive in late 2014.

As is typical of every M badged BMW car, the X5 M and X6 M will boast of a host of bits that would make the car look sportier and aggressive. While both these car will sport a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, it is expected that it will considerably more potent that what it is in its current state. Currently, the motor belts out a max power output of 555 HP (408 kW) and  peak torque of 502 lb-ft (680 Nm). It is highly likely that both the new X5 M and the X6 M will be considerably lighter than their respective predecessors.

It is also expected that thanks to more power and less weight, the cars will be quicker to dismiss the 100kmph mark from standstill. Both the cars will have an electronically governed top speed of 250kmph.
