It has been a really exciting EICMA this year, with a bunch of heavyweight launches tickling our excitement all through the week. Stowed away in some corner, was this rather brutish Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Prototype, laced with carbon fiber. Essentially a re-bodied Moto Guzzi California 1400, the MGX-21 adds a custom fairing and a sweeping tail mixed with carbon fiber bits and matte black paint.
Red highlights on the front mudguard, the cylinder caps and the front brake calipers break the monotony of the all-black scheme. The 21″front wheel is a solid carbon fiber disc, and that’s where the 21 moniker in the name comes from- pretty weird nomenclature, but with this new carbon heavy stream-liner, Moto Guzzi prepares for a new stab at the Harleys, Victorys, and Indians of the world.
