The event has started and Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited is addressing the media. Maruti says that the compact SUV is a key segment that the Indian car maker is entering with the Vitara Brezza. The Vitara Brezza received a tremendous response at the 2016 Auto Expo and the sub-four meter SUV gets a list of class leading features and customization options. Moreover, the Vitara Brezza returns class leading 24.3 km to a litre of diesel.

Rannvijay Singh hosts the launch event of the new Maruti Vitara Brezza
Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the much awaited Maruti Vitara Brezza will finally be launched in the Indian market today. The new Maruti Vitara Brezza has been conceptualized, designed and developed in India using a Suzuki global platform and engine.
As reported earlier, this upcoming compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki will come in an array of colour options depending upon the variant selected. Moreover, the top of the line ZDi+ trim will be the only variant to receive the dual tone shade. The other variants on offer will include LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), and ZDi.
Leaked brochures reveals the engine specifications of the vehicle which is a 1.3 litre DDiS 200, Fiat sourced oil burner, that produces 89 hp of power at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. This engine will send power to the two wheel drive system with the help of a 5 speed manual transmission. The ARAI certified fuel economy says that the Vitara Brezza can return a class-leading efficiency of 24.3 km per litre.
The feature packed Vitara Brezza will include projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels with 215 section tyres, Maruti’s SmartPlay touch-screen infotainment system with navigation and rear-view camera, cruise control, automatic climate control, ABS, EBD and dual front airbags.
