Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, recently concluded the ‘Quanto Weekend Escape’, a two day TSD (Time, Speed, Distance) rally to the Sula Vineyard in Nasik and back. Held between July 13 and 14, 2013, this competitive and exhilarating drive saw participation from enthusiastic Quanto owners enjoying every bit of the 240 km route. The monsoon put up a lush green backdrop as the convoy of vehicles made its way off the beaten track, for a perfect weekend outing.
The rally was flagged off at 9:30 am from Mahindra Towers, Kandivali on July 13, 2013. The trail started from Manor passing through Wada, Jawahar and Girnare before reaching Sula Vineyard in Nasik. En route, the participants navigated through highways, B roads and some stretches of rough road, with the magnificent mountains, Kasara Ghats and dams in the backdrop. The participants stopped at the luxurious Beyond Resort at Sula Vineyard for the night, with some exquisite wine and entertainment ensuring a delightful evening. They enjoyed the quiet, quaint and cool evening in Nasik, walking through the vineyards, learned about wine making and of course, tasted the choicest varieties of the drink. A prize distribution ceremony was held the following day, with several being declared for the TSD rally and driving skills tests.
